Khalil Williams

Profile

While dedicated to practicing law with civility, Khalil is a tenacious advocate for his clients, representing clients in a wide range of business and civil litigation matters.

Khalil earned his J.D. from the University at Buffalo School of Law where he served as Vice-President and Secretary of the Black Law Students Association (BLSA) and participated in the Northeast Regional BLSA's Constance Baker Motley Mock Trial Competition in New York City. He worked as a Student Attorney in the school’s Civil Rights and Transparency Clinic where he researched and composed drafts, made oral arguments, assisted with settlements, and collaborated with a coalition of law clinics on a number of national initiatives. He also served as a Student Ambassador in the School of Law Office of Admissions.

In 2019 and 2020, Khalil worked as a summer associate at Ward Greenberg in our Philadelphia and Rochester offices respectively. He conducted research, reviewed case law, prepared deposition notes and summaries, and drafted legal memoranda, motions and affidavits. He also participated in a secondment with firm client 7-Eleven, Inc., working in their home offices in Dallas, Texas on various legal and contractual issues.

Prior to law school, Khalil served an internship as a Mediator in the New York State Office of the Attorney General: Consumer Frauds and Protection Bureau where he mediated complaints between consumers and businesses, and assisted with investigations. He was also a Fellow in the New York Legal Education Opportunity Program through the New York State Judicial Institute at the Pace University Elisabeth Haub School of Law.

Khalil earned his B.S. in Business Management and Legal Studies from Nazareth College where he served as President of the Student Access and Achievement Programs Student Advisory Board, as a Student Ambassador, and participated in a cross-border business collaboration research project.

Personally, Khalil is committed to voter registration, community cleanup, and commenting on administrative regulations. Originally from Buffalo, NY, Khalil has made Rochester his home to explore and enjoy hiking, stargazing, traveling, and collecting music vinyls and books.
