Forty Under 40 recognizes 40 men and women, under the age of 40, who have achieved professional success and have also made significant civic contributions to the community.
"This year's Forty Under 40 honorees are building successful careers while also finding the time to volunteer and give back to our community in a meaningful way. All share a commitment to making Rochester a better place to live. We at the Rochester Business Journal applaud them for all they do and look forward to their future accomplishments." - Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, publisher of the Rochester Business Journal
A Ward Greenberg Partner and top-notch commercial litigation attorney, Jeff has achieved significant professional success since graduating from Cornell Law School in 2004. After serving as a law clerk to the late Franklin S. Van Antwerpen, Circuit Judge for the United States Court of Appeals in Philadelphia, Jeff entered private practice as an associate in the New York City office of Clifford Chance. In 2007, he returned to Rochester and joined Ward Greenberg. Given his substantial contributions, commitment, and invaluable perspective, he was elected partner in January 2013.
Jeff’s practice focuses on complex business and commercial matters. He has successfully represented multinational corporations, banks, educational institutions, and individuals, in state and federal court, before agencies, and in private arbitration. He has been included in several editions of The Best Lawyers in America© in the areas of commercial litigation and labor and employment litigation.
In addition to his legal practice, Jeff is proud to serve his alma mater as Vice President of the Brockport Central School District Board of Education. He also is a Director of The Kilian J. and Caroline F. Schmitt Foundation and a Trustee of the Western Monroe Historical Society. He has assumed leadership roles in both the Monroe County and New York State Bar Associations over the years. As he is a firm believer in the value of an inclusive and diverse workplace, Jeff led the development of the Ward Greenberg Diversity Scholar Program, an innovative approach to attracting a diverse pool of top associate candidates that has been recognized in local and national publications.
