Senovia Moncada Awarded GRAWA President's Award

Ward Greenberg is pleased to announce that Senovia Moncada was awarded the 2020-2021 President's Award by the Greater Rochester Association of Women Attorneys (GRAWA) at their 39th Annual Installation Dinner. The award recognizes a GRAWA member for her hard work and commitment to the organization within the past year. GRAWA President Randi Proukou announced Senovia's selection as this year's President's Award recipient by saying:

"Senovia Moncada, an associate at Ward Greenburg, was our NAWA (Newly Admitted Women Attorneys) co-chair for the 2020-2021 term. She was a new GRAWA member and new attorney, but showed remarkable leadership right away. She didn’t wait for anyone to ask her to do something, whether it be plan an event, set up a meeting, or coordinate a lunch, she took initiative. She helped get NAWA back on its feet during the pandemic hosting some fun and creative virtual game nights, and collaborated frequently with our Women’s Connection Committee to help organize events together. She set up an entire lesson plan to teach and present to Girl Scouts Troops at our unconventional Girl Scouts Day at the Court event this past May. She helped get GRAWA swag bags in order. When she and Natasha were asked to help tackle GRAWA’s mission statement revisions, she jumped into action, offering multiple drafts and even taking the time to present their meaning to the Board. She worked with leadership in the Women of Color committee, attending meetings and being a consistent presence. That is really the theme with Senovia – she is a consistent presence. She shows up, she lends a hand, she is professional and passionate, and she gets the job done. GRAWA is lucky to have her as an active young member, and I was lucky to have her in a leadership position during my term. Thank you Senovia, and congratulations."

Congratulations Senovia on this recognition of your commitment to supporting and championing women!
