Ward Greenberg is pleased to announce that Partner Joshua Agins has been elected as a member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel (FDCC).
The FDCC is composed of more than 1,400 practicing attorneys from around the world who are recognized as leaders within the legal industry. Federation membership is limited, selective, and by nomination only. Election is by the Board of Directors upon recommendation of an independent Admissions Committee charged with the responsibility of making a careful investigation into the qualifications of each nominee to ensure those selected have distinguished themselves professionally. The FDCC is dedicated to promoting knowledge, fellowship, and professionalism of its members in the pursuit of a balanced justice system.
Josh, currently the only Rochester-based member of FDCC, practices in the areas of commercial litigation, tort defense, and higher education. He handles commercial matters involving breach of contract, business torts, construction disputes, and franchise disputes. In his tort defense practice, Josh handles high-exposure claims for property damage, serious injury, and wrongful death, with a focus on representing utility companies following natural gas explosions and electrocutions. Josh also defends educational institutions and other employers against all types of discrimination claims in state and federal courts and before government agencies. A graduate of the University at Buffalo Law School, Josh joined Ward Greenberg in 2011 and was elected Partner in 2018. He is a member of the Monroe County Bar Association and a Campaign for Justice Cabinet Member.
