Ward Greenberg is delighted to see our Director of Administration, Cheryl "Sheri" Jordan, selected for recognition with the Rochester Business Journal and Daily Record Law Firm Administrator Award. The award honors administrators who do outstanding work to help their law firms succeed, which we all know Sheri has done in spades.
Since joining us more than 10 years ago, Sheri has been integral to the firm’s day to day operations across our offices, as well as to our long-term success. With an incredible work ethic, Sheri is deeply committed to her job, and to the personal well-being of each of us, and thinks constantly about making our firm not only financially successful, but an incredible place to work. Sheri is involved in nearly every aspect of our business operations, from overseeing full firm administration to finances and operations, allowing our lawyers to focus their time on client service, which has been a significant component to the success of our firm.
Sheri's dedication, perseverance and commitment to the firm was never was more evident than in March 2020 when Sheri was at the forefront of turning our firm into a fully remote operation nearly overnight. She then deftly handled all the emerging issues – personnel, finance, IT, and so much more – enabling us to approach our business in a whole new way. She did all this with a great attitude, selflessly supporting us all. In addition, she worried about the health and safety each of us and our families, and made extraordinary efforts to keep us connected during that difficult time.
One of the firm's vendors who nominated her for this recognition said, "Cheryl is an articulate, loyal, honest, and immensely hard-working professional who dedicates herself thoroughly to the law firm at Ward Greenberg Heller & Reidy LLP. She unfailingly gets the job done promptly and efficiently. My company services law firms across the northeast, and I have yet to find a Director of Administration that is as sincere and easy to work with."
Rick Ward, one of the firm's founders who also supported the nomination said," In every year since she joined the firm over a decade ago, Sheri has consistently been a tour de force of kindness, confidence, and efficiency, and our firm is the better for it."
We all look forward to applauding her receiving the award when it is presented in a ceremony later this year. Congratulations Sheri!
