Practice Focus and Experience

Mr. Curran’s defense practice focuses primarily upon the areas of personal injury, toxic tort, commercial, business, environmental, discrimination and white collar criminal defense litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Curran was a senior prosecutor, where he tried dozens of violent felony cases to verdict before juries.

Mr. Curran has represented corporations, individuals, and utilities in numerous cases involving negligence, labor law and product liability actions. He has handled cases involving wrongful death arising out of electrocution and drowning. He has handled personal injury and property damage claims arising out of natural gas explosions.

Mr. Curran has represented individuals, institutions and corporations in investigations and actions conducted or brought by state and federal authorities including the New York State Attorney General’s Office, O.S.H.A., United States Justice Department, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Federal and State Bureaus of Alcohol, Firearms and Tobacco, Internal Revenue Service, as well as various District Attorney’s offices. Mr. Curran’s litigation experience includes defense of individuals, corporate entities, and various institutions accused of violating environmental laws, committing bankruptcy or Medicaid fraud or tax evasion.

Mr. Curran’s employment work includes varied discrimination defense matters. He has handled discrimination cases including race, gender, age, disability, sexual harassment and familial claims in various forums including the EEOC, New York State Division of Human Rights, as well as state and federal courts.
