Experience

Mr. Hallenbeck began his legal career at Nixon, Hargrave, Devans & Doyle, where he was a partner from 1963 until 1981 when he became Vice President and General Counsel of Sybron Corporation. Following the acquisition of Sybron by Forstman Little & Co. in 1986, Mr. Hallenbeck joined another senior Sybron executive as partners in Avstone & Company, a management consulting and investment firm. He returned to active practice in 1991 and was a partner with the firm of Hallenbeck, Lascell, Norris & Heller, LLP until May 2000 when he, along with several of his current partners, formed the law firm of Ward Norris Heller & Reidy LLP. Mr Hallenbeck recently retired from the practice of law in 2010. He currently assists the Firm in an administrative capacity.

Mr. Hallenbeck is an emeritus Trustee of Syracuse University and of Rochester Institute of Technology. He has also served as a Trustee of Monroe Community College, WXXI Public Broadcasting Council, Rochester Museum and Science Center and St. Bernard’s Institute. He is an Honorary Director of the Automobile Club of Western and Central New York and a former Trustee of Holy Sepulcher Cemetery
